  My wife and I had our FIRST AND LAST visit to Abbott's. The cashier had an attitude like a 2 week old dish rag , IT STUNK. I paid $16.00 for a nothing special lobster roll. My wife had the clams and mussels. The clams were so sandy that sand coated the inside and outside of the clams and mussels, that she took them back and was told by the head counter person that no one else had complained about them. It wasn't like there were a few grains inside, sand was everywhere! Why give my wife such a hard time? He even told her that he had some that day and they were fine. She ended up with a toasted hamburger bun with tough lobster on it. Our highly anticipated trip to Abbott's, SUCKED. I'm sure there are much better places to eat around there . I would not recommend Abbot's at all, the staff has horrible attitudes and the food varies between nothing special and completely horrid. I had to give it 1 star to be able to post. It wasn't even deserving of that!

  Abbott's is well known for its lobster and fantastic views of the water while eating. Get there early to avoid the lunchtime wait. It's BYOB so pick up some wine and beer from the liquor store a few blocks away!
  
  Be prepared - the lobster's pricey here. The regular lobster roll is small, make sure to get the OMG to match the size of lobster rolls elsewhere. Lobster was delicious but oh-so slightly chewy (I've had a lot of lobster rolls in my time). Get the hot, buttered version! The New England clam chowder is very briney and thinner consistency than other chowders, but worth trying! Lobster bisque was OK. There's a cute dessert stand in that area if you need a sweet fix after your seafood.
