  The Ancient Mariner hit the spot after a wonderful day of walking around Mystic, Connecticut. The food and service were superb. I found the Cobb Salad I had to be one of the best I had ordered from any restaurant in some time. My main dish was a Fish Burrito which was also very delicious. The best part had to be the service and the ambiance. Additionally after driving home for 2 hours I realized I had a left a bag of cooking spices I bought at a store down the block in the restaurant the Ancient Mariner staff agreed to mail me the spices which I could them send them a check for the costs of doing so. This was incredibly kind of them. I will definitely go back here next time I venture back to Mystic.

  I like this place. Good food, good drink. Great location right near the drawbridge in Mystic. Nautical feel to the place.

  This was a cozy, candlelit, romantic seafood restaurant in Old Mystick Village. They had an advertised " happy day each day" special where draft beers, some of the dinner entrees, and appetizers are half off from 3pm-6pm. Decorated with antiques from the town's history, a stone fireplace, and a beautiful old bar, it really is quite a lovely place. Fresh seafood was cooked wonderfully, stuffed lobster and broiled Stonington scallops were melt in your mouth wonderful. Staff were extremely courteous, kind, and knowledgeable not only puff the menu but the town as well.
